Introduction

Back in 1992, I studied the Windows 3.1 User's Guide cover to cover (in one night in fact).
It had so many excellent basics that it has enhanced my ability to use Windows
ever since, and over 90% of it is still applicable in all versions of Windows since then.
Many of its editing tips (keyboard short cuts) have long since found their way into the muscle
memory of my hands, and make me 10X more productive with my comptuer.

The following, studied in sequence, should take a beginning computer user up to the point of understanding what he is dealing with, and being much more productive with any computer that uses the Windows operating system.

The pages herein are designed to either be used as a tutorial, in which case you would want to study them in sequence.  Alternately, this website can be used as a reference, in which case you can jump immediately to the page that contains what you are looking for.

Above all, do not hesitate to use the Definitions page, which contains most of the basic terms you will need to understand to effectively use your computer.

Enjoy, and happy Computing!
